There are very few facilities and clinicians available in the field of mental health in our country, and many times not even affordable to those who needed them most. According to sources in Pakistan, around 50 million people suffer from common mental disorders for whom there are only 400 trained psychiatrists in the country, which means there is only one psychiatrist available per half-million people.

Believing in service to community as a fundamental human responsibility and the importance of social service, Dr. Jawaid Latif and few like minded friends have founded a modern state of the art psychiatric clinic.

Abdus Sami Psychiatric clinic is a newly created Free outpatient psychiatric clinic, which aims to help people, who are suffering from various mental disorders in a very confidential and respectful manner. Our hope is that starting such a program on a small scale and expanding it in coming years will help the needs of this community.

We are hopeful that our clinic will emerge as center of excellence for psychiatric care and serve the needs of this community for years to come. We are reaching out to General Physicians and Consultants in the nearby area so they may refer patients in their practice who are struggling with psychiatric disorders.
